Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• 5x8 day shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, Monday through Friday
• Occasional late days approximately 4-5 days per month, rarely working past 5:00 PM on those days
• No weekend requirement
• Call requirement: one day per week and every fifth weekend
• Float as needed within or near facility
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Work in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
• Perform procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
• Administer and monitor medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
• Perform IV therapy including blood product administration, IV infusion pumps, and starting IVs
• Apply professional skills including 12-lead EKG, activated clotting time (ACT), cardioversion, infection prevention, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, sheath removal and monitoring, and monitoring procedural sedation
• Preferred experience with ASD closures, cardiac implant closure devices, Impella insertion, rotablader atherectomy, TAVI/TAVR, and vascular studies including angioplasty and upper and lower extremity angiography
• Operate specialized equipment including Impella, Penumbra, EKOS, Roto, Ultrasound, Shockwave, ACIST, and GE Mac Lab system
• Use unit systems including Pyxis, SBAR, and Epic for medication, documentation, and communication
• Scrubs provided
• 16 hours of unit orientation required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT CI
