Med Surg RN Job in Blacksburg, VA

Lewisgale Hospital-Montgomery is seeking a registered nurse for a medical-surgical nursing position. You will provide comprehensive patient care to individuals with diverse healthcare needs across medical and surgical diagnoses.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: September 14, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,839.60

Your Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care including medication administration and patient assessment
• Coordinate care across the care team and participate in interdisciplinary rounds
• Utilize electronic documentation systems to maintain accurate patient records
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Follow unit-specific policies, protocols, and hospital dress code requirements
• Maintain current nursing licensure and required certifications throughout the assignment

What You Bring

• Current RN license (valid in Virginia)
• Demonstrated competency in medication administration and patient assessment
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment
