ICU Registered Nurse Job in Allentown, PA

LVH – Cedar Crest is seeking a Registered Nurse for its ICU. You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours on nights for 91 days, with a weekly pay of $2,384.64. This is a permanent or temporary assignment depending on your needs.

Requirements:

• Pennsylvania or Compact nursing license, valid and in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Experience in a Teaching Hospital and Trauma Level I Facility
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting system proficiency

Role Details:

You will care for adult and geriatric patients in our ICU with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 3:1. You may float to other critical care units, medical-surgical, or low-level monitoring units as needed, with ratios up to 4:1 in those settings. No on-call is required. Weekend coverage is every other weekend, and holiday coverage is every other holiday.

Clinical Skills:

You will manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and continuous IV sedation and paralytics. Your expertise will include titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, administering blood products, monitoring intracranial pressure, managing multisystem organ dysfunction, operating BiPAP/CPAP equipment, managing shock, and overseeing anticoagulation protocols.

Support & Experience:

Critical Care Float Pool experience is preferred, as is previous charge experience. You will have access to interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy. Diverse ICU experience across multiple critical care settings is essential.
