Cath Lab Technologist Job in Louisville, KY

You will work as a Cath Lab Technologist at Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky. This is an 8-hour shift position with a duration of 89 days, starting October 5, 2026. You will earn $2,041 per week.

In this role, you will support the cardiology team during invasive cardiac procedures. Your responsibilities include:

• Operate all radiographic equipment in the Cath Lab under the direction of a cardiologist
• Perform scrub assist duties during invasive procedures
• Obtain concise and complete medical history and physical assessments for each patient in a timely manner
• Execute time-out procedures to ensure proper consent and that history and physical documentation are present
• Prepare patients while maintaining strict sterile technique when assisting the scrub team and physician
• Proficiently document patient progress and response to interventions within the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Record charges and changes in the EMR accurately
• Deliver cost-efficient care through sound supply-use decisions
• Perform all tasks and skills according to cath lab guidelines during routine and emergency cases
• Identify and document basic arrhythmias and respiratory dysfunction
• Demonstrate competency with pulse oximetry, cardiac monitoring, automatic blood pressure machines, and recording equipment
• Demonstrate knowledge and performance of cardiac output, valve area, and shunt calculations
• Record and evaluate patient response to catheterization and electrophysiology procedures

You will be part of a dynamic cardiac care team, supporting physicians and patients through critical diagnostic and interventional procedures. Your attention to detail, sterile technique, and ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential to success in this position.
