Emergency Department RN Job in Houston, TX

HCA Houston West is seeking an RN for their Emergency Department. This is a 13-week travel assignment running 3 shifts per week, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., beginning September 14, 2026. You will earn $1,708.20 weekly.

The 28-bed Emergency Department operates with a structured team approach. Your shift includes 1 charge nurse coordinator, 5 RNs, 1 triage nurse, 1 medic, and 1 unit secretary. You will work a rotating weekend schedule with a 1:4 patient ratio and no floating to other units.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver emergency care and manage acute patient conditions
• Perform emergency department procedures including intubation and central line placement
• Operate ventilators and Baxter IV pumps
• Document patient care in the Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Respond to emergencies with strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and either PALS or ENPC. TNCC certification is preferred.

You must have verifiable patient care experience and demonstrated emergency response skills. Team collaboration and flexibility in your approach to patient care are essential. Scrub color is royal blue.

This assignment is ideal for an RN who is comfortable with high-acuity emergency medicine and wants to work in a stable, non-floating environment with a predictable night shift schedule.
