ED RN Job in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Converse Emergency Center is hiring a registered nurse for its 12-bed freestanding emergency department. This is a 13-week contract position on the night shift, running 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three days per week. You will work a rotating weekend schedule.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a patient ratio of 4:1
• Perform 12-lead EKGs, phlebotomy, vital signs monitoring, and comprehensive patient assessments
• Administer respiratory treatments, apply splints, and manage wound care
• Operate EKG machines, vital signs monitors, Parapac units, and BiPAP equipment
• Chart and communicate using the Meditech EMR system
• Support the emergency department team, which includes one charge nurse, two to three RNs, and one to two techs per night shift

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Emergency room experience required
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Comfort working with critical and acutely ill patients
• Flexibility and willingness to float to the Naco freestanding ED location when needed

Compensation and Schedule

Weekly pay is $1,791. The assignment runs for 91 days, with a start date of November 2, 2026. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Methodist Converse Emergency Center is a 12-bed freestanding facility. Dress code is navy blue scrubs. This role offers the opportunity to work in a focused emergency setting with a predictable patient census and team environment.
