Cath Lab Technologist Job in Macon, GA

You will work as a Cath Lab Technologist at Piedmont Macon Medical Center, a community hospital serving adults and geriatric patients. This is a 5x8 day shift position for an 84-week contract beginning September 14, 2026.

Role Details

• Work in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization labs
• Perform scrub and circulator duties, maintaining sterile fields
• Support cardiac procedures including PCI, PTCA, left and right heart catheterization, and rotablator atherectomy
• Assist with stent placement, IABP placement and removal, Impella insertion, IVC filter placement, and temporary pacemaker insertion
• Monitor patients, recognize dysrhythmias and life-threatening arrhythmias, and perform EKG lead placement
• Participate in thrombolysis and thrombectomy procedures
• Float within the facility and to Piedmont Macon North Hospital as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Prior travel assignment required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCIS

Scheduling

• Self-scheduling available
• On-call requirements: 1 weekend per month and 1–2 weekdays per week
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Holiday work expected: work all major holidays if 1–2 fall during assignment; work 2 of 3 or more major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
• 36 orientation hours required
