NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Weekends required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Possible on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of current Level III or Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience required
• Must have strong experience with HIE, surfactant administration, blood administration, NEC, and PICC line procedures
• EPIC experience required
• Active Texas or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA)
• Skills checklist specific to NICU discipline required
• 2 supervisory references from within the last year required
• Coordinate patient care delivery using the nursing professional practice model
• Assess patients and identify nursing diagnoses based on responses to health problems
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care and evaluate patient responses
• Delegate interventions to healthcare personnel based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act, patient condition, and employee competencies
• Assist patients in transitioning through healthcare encounters without preventable complications or delays
