ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed emergency department with patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexibility to meet department needs
• No block scheduling available
• Must be open to floating to all sections within the ED (no floating outside of the ED)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an ER setting required
• Preferred experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED with more than 100,000 visits
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
• Document using Cerner electronic health record system
• Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, and triage; unit clerks available on days and nights
• Follow AIDET patient experience standards, respectful behavior practices, and keep patient boards updated throughout visit
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all required before start date), ENPC (within 90 days of hire)
