Telemetry RN Job in Gilbert, AZ

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is seeking an RN for a Telemetry position focused on ED hold care. You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours during night hours (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), with self-scheduling available, though scheduling may change periodically.

Role Responsibilities:

• Care for ED hold patients waiting for placement on a unit, primarily medical/surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently—no monitor technician is available in the ED
• Titrate and decrease cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters, including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4
• Assist ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration as needed, though you will not serve as the primary RN for ED patient assignments
• Float to med/surg/telemetry/overflow units and additional ED locations as needed
• Work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule and participate in holiday rotation with permanent staff
• Be available to float when needed; no on-call requirements

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Strong cardiac telemetry background with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (maximum 2 attempts)
• Must pass a simulation lab evaluation on the first day of orientation

Compensation: $2,125.44 weekly for a 91-day assignment beginning November 9, 2026.
