ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Primary shift hours are 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM with the ability to move to 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM if needed
• On-call required as needed
• Every other weekend required
• May float to sister campuses as needed based on staffing and census
• Provide emergency nursing care to a wide range of patients across varied age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Department sees approximately 70 visits per day across 16 beds
• 2 years of experience required; 1 year of ED travel experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Charting experience required; Epic system used
• Clock in and out using Kronos
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA or ARC), PALS, NIHSS
• California RN licensure required with valid Nursys verification uploaded within the last 2 weeks
• 2 references obtained within the last year required
• Required skills include: abdominal pain, arterial line management, asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult/pediatric care, head injury, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, neuro-trauma, orthopedic trauma, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, seizures, sepsis protocol, spinal cord injury, starting and maintaining IVs, traumatic brain injury, triage, and urinary tract infection management
