Med Surg RN Job in Rockport, ME

Pen Bay Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment on our 45-bed Medical-Surgical unit. You'll work nights (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) on a 3x12 schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Every other weekend is required; no on-call duties.

You'll care for medical-surgical, orthopedic, general surgery, and urology patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, and pneumonia. Patient ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. The unit admits pediatric patients to the general floor, so PALS certification is required to care for them. Float requirements apply across the unit.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred; travel experience a plus
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS required
• Strong IV skills, telemetry monitoring experience, and proficiency with required documentation
• Competency with Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Philips Cardiac Monitor
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system

Dress Code: Clean scrubs in any color (no prints). Avoid hoodies, crocs, and shoes with holes or open toes.
