ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Urgent need position in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required in an equivalent-sized facility
• Level II or III trauma experience required
• Recent ER travel experience preferred (within the past 6-8 months)
• Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work within a 42-bed emergency department with a daily census of 200
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC (must be willing to obtain if offered)
• Key clinical skills required include triage, IV insertion and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, chest tube management, IV vasopressors, blood product administration, splint application and management, intubation, and interpretation of arterial blood gases
• Must be able to manage conditions including acute psychosis, drug overdose, traumatic injuries, gunshot wounds, head injuries, seizures, spinal cord injuries, psychiatric holds, suicidal patients, CVA, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Expect to work some holidays
