Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12 schedule
• Contract options of 13 or 26 weeks available
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, may change based on need
• Floating to other med surg units may be required based on census needs
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• 24-hour orientation required
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including higher oxygen demands, dialysis, atrial fibrillation, and post heart catheterization
• Step-down unit from ICU - no vents or pressor support
• Administer and manage drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Telemetry monitoring required
• Manage peritoneal dialysis equipment
• Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac drip titration, pre/post cardiac cath care, pre/post hemodialysis management, tracheostomy care, and wound care
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Block scheduling type
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Tennessee nursing license required
