Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Care for med/surg patients with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
• Unit consists of 8 inpatient beds plus 8 admission unit beds, with the ability to flex up to 12 inpatient beds depending on overall hospital census
• Day shift and night shift both staffed with 1 charge nurse, 2 RNs, and 1 PCA
• Rotating weekends required
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, and EHR documentation
• Communicate effectively with all members of the care team
• Utilize Meditech EMR system
• Use standard unit equipment
• Float to med/surg units as needed
• Wear scrubs per dress code requirements
• Minimum 1 year of acute med/surg experience within the last year required
• Ability to care for 4 to 6 patients at a time required
• 2+ years of acute med/surg experience within the last year preferred
• Orthopedic or neuro-surgery background preferred; med/surg/telemetry background will suffice
• Friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused personality preferred
• RN certification required
