Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour variable day and night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float requirement to all inpatient units
• Work in a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients following PACU recovery
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings and 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with highest volume occurring on day and evening shifts
• Unit occupancy runs at 90-95% during the week with an average length of stay of 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multi-task, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work collaboratively as part of a team
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Equipment used includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
