Emergency Department RN Job in Springfield, MO

Join Mercy Hospital Springfield as an RN in our 68-bed Emergency Department. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with a weekly pay of $2,348 and an assignment length of 91 days, starting July 29, 2026.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across all age groups
• Manage a routine 4:1 patient ratio in a high-acuity environment serving 200+ patients per day
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Work in a Level 1 Trauma center, Stroke center, STEMI center, and regional burn center
• Weekend hours as required by facility; no call or float requirements

Qualifications Required:

• Current RN license (must meet Missouri licensure criteria or be currently licensed in Missouri)
• 1 year of Emergency Department experience in a Level 1 Trauma facility, or 2 years in a Level 2 Trauma facility
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), TNCC, and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS may be obtained prior to start)
• Trauma, pediatrics, and high-acuity experience preferred

Assignment Details:

• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; full-week availability required
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours (indicated on submission form)
• Block schedule cannot be accommodated
• RTO must be made up on the back end and will not be approved in the first week
• Only 1 holiday RTO request permitted per assignment
• EMR system: EPIC
• Required dress code: Black scrubs; jeans and unprofessional attire not acceptable
