OR RN Job in Wheeling, WV

WVU Wheeling Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room. This 91-day travel assignment begins October 26, 2026, and offers competitive compensation of $2,511 weekly.

Schedule & Commitment

• 3x12-hour rotating shifts, or 4x10-hour shifts weekly
• Day shift options: 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM start times in 8-hour or 10-hour increments
• Occasional midnight shifts to support operational demands
• Rotating weekend requirement: 8-hour shifts 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday or Sunday
• On-call participation: 1–2 secondary call days per scheduling period with 24-hour weekend calls (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
• 30-minute call response time required
• 2 shifts per 13-week contract may be canceled

Clinical Environment

• 15-suite operating room handling 55–70 cases daily
• Cases include all procedure types with same-day and overnight stays
• Scrubbing responsibilities limited to preop care only
• Floating to OR holding area may be required
• IV skills required; surgical care knowledge and robotics experience expected
• Work within surgical center/preop unit in acute care setting

Operational Details

• Charting in Allscripts with EPIC transition upcoming
• Scrubs provided by facility
• BLS certification required
• BSN not required

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (copy required with application)
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius
