MRI Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest – UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a direct patient-care role where you will independently perform MRI imaging procedures and maintain the highest standards of diagnostic imaging.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 days per week: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
• 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM shift
• Approximately 12 hours per week
• Rotational call coverage required
• Weekly pay: $2,963
• Assignment start date: August 24, 2026

Core Responsibilities

• Independently perform MRI imaging procedures using clinical judgment for diagnostic purposes
• Practice and maintain MR safety standards within the department
• Maintain clinical competency for all exams and equipment
• Review and present all relevant patient information to the physician based on protocol prior to exam start
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition including contrast labeling, preparation, and administration
• Document patient history in electronic records as required
• Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and help alleviate patient concerns
• Perform procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving images
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked, and archived with charges adequately entered

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of MRI experience
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry
• Current certification: ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS
• BLS certification
• Pennsylvania clearances: PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
