ED RN Job in Chandler, AZ

Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for its 60-bed Emergency Department, a Level 1 trauma facility. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,229.12.

Role Overview

You will work three 12-hour shifts per schedule period with rotating start times. Day and mid shifts begin at 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, or 1:00 PM. Night shifts start at 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, or 7:00 PM. You must be flexible to work all listed shifts with no exceptions. A minimum of four weekend shifts per schedule period and two of three major holidays during the holiday season are required.

Clinical Environment

The unit manages a patient ratio of 1:3–4 across the main ED and 14 fast-track beds with bedside triage. Common presentations include trauma, motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, blunt and penetrating trauma, cerebrovascular accidents, myocardial infarctions, high-risk obstetric cases, psychiatric holds, cardioversions, and conscious sedation for closed fractures. Approximately 11% of patients are pediatric (under 15); these patients are stabilized and transferred. You will be first to float between Gilbert and Chandler ER locations, which are 7 miles and 15 minutes apart.

Requirements and Competencies

You must have a minimum of two years of recent ER or trauma Level 1 experience within the past year. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association), PALS or ENPC, and ATCN or TNCC. Moderate conscious sedation competency testing is required. You must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving the offer through UNA, with a maximum of two attempts. On day one of orientation, you will complete a PASS/FAIL simulation lab.

Onboarding and Operations

Floor-specific orientation spans 2–3 days. You will chart using Cerner and work with equipment including GE Lifepack monitors, Puritan Bennett 840 and Draeger ventilators, and Vision BiPAP and V60 BiPAP units. Scrub color is navy.
