Med Surg RN Job in Lander, WY

You will provide direct and individualized nursing care to medical and surgical patients at SH SageWest Health Care in Lander, Wyoming. This is a 91-day travel assignment working 3 x 12-hour night shifts.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients
• Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes
• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with nursing policy
• Perform wound care including changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs
• Initiate and implement patient education plans as prescribed by physician
• Initiate corrective action when patients display adverse symptomatology
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patients
• Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
• Participate in discharge planning and utilize time management skills

Requirements: Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license. Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association are required.

Assignment details: Start date September 7, 2026. Weekly pay: $2,233.80.
