PCU RN Job in Sun City, AZ

Banner Boswell Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the night shift. This 89-week travel assignment offers you the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a dynamic acute care environment.

Position Details:

• Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: 3x12 Nights
• Duration: 89 weeks
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Primary Location: Banner Boswell Medical Center, 10401 W Thunderbird Blvd, Sun City, AZ
• Weekly Pay: $2,559

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal findings to physicians and caregivers
• Develop and maintain individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, including discharge planning
• Implement care plans through direct patient care, coordination, and delegation of healthcare team activities
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Provide evidence-based care and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor staff, patients, students, and families as appropriate

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required
• Specialty experience within the past 12 months
• BLS certification
• Willingness to float between Boswell and Del Webb campuses as needed, with Boswell as primary location
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
