RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 4x12 day shift schedule (48-hour weeks)
• Patient ratio of 1:7 utilizing team nursing model with support from PCC, LPN, and others
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Weekend block schedule may be considered - must be discussed during interview
• Caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• General medical surgical patient diagnoses
• Unit consists of 48 beds with a daily census of 48
• Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• EPIC experience preferred
• ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
• Must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, and IV starts
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• If assignment includes end-of-year holidays, must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall within the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 if only two holidays fall within the assignment
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
