OR RN Job in Elmira, NY

Arnot Ogden Medical Center (AOMC) in Elmira, NY is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for the operating room. This is a 90-day travel assignment starting September 20, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work as a perioperative nurse in a busy surgical environment. Your responsibilities include preparing the operating room, assisting surgical teams, managing instruments and supplies, monitoring patient safety, and supporting anesthesia providers throughout surgical procedures. You will maintain sterile technique, communicate effectively with the surgical team, and ensure optimal patient outcomes in the OR setting.

Shift and Schedule

• 5x8 hour shifts, daytime schedule
• Weekday call requirement included
• Rotating weekend call required

Compensation and Duration

You will earn $2,877 per week. This is a 90-day contract assignment.

Requirements

You must hold a current RN license valid in New York. Operating room experience is expected. You should be comfortable with call responsibilities and rotating schedules. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff are essential.
