ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 5 years of emergency room nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Every other weekend coverage required with 3 weekend shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Self-scheduling
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: CA RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC; certifications must be AHA or ARC
• Conduct comprehensive patient and family assessments encompassing physiological, spiritual, and emotional areas
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate and adjust daily patient care plans
• Provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care in accordance with unit and hospital policies
• Monitor patient care interventions, assess therapies, evaluate outcomes, and intervene as warranted
• Accurately document and update all treatment information in the patient's electronic health record
• Proficiency with skills including arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, triage, and management of dysrhythmias
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and unit secretary
