Medical Lab Technician Job in Salt Lake City, UT

Join St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City as a Medical Laboratory Scientist on a 13-week travel assignment. You will work weekend shifts in the West Valley Emergency Services Department (FSED) Lab, performing point-of-care (POC) testing as your primary responsibility.

Schedule & Duration

• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week (24 hours per weekend)
• 13-week contract (91 days)
• Start date: October 5, 2026

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $1,767

Role Responsibilities

• Perform point-of-care (POC) testing
• Complete clerical duties as assigned by Nursing and Lab Director
• Support FSED operations

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional credential with full laboratory license (ASCP certification required: MLS, CLS, or MT Medical Technologist)
• Associate-level licenses will not be accepted
• Full license required
• Point-of-care knowledge preferred

This position offers the opportunity to work in an emergency lab setting with exposure to high-volume, fast-paced testing environments. You will contribute directly to patient care in the emergency department while gaining experience in POC protocols and emergency laboratory operations.
