ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• 26-week contract only
• Patient ratio of 1:3-5 with approximately 250 visits per day and 101 beds
• Minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week time track, up to every other weekend
• Floating is required between Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health based on greatest need
• Must take holds as part of float requirement
• Serves all patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Unit systems include Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, and daily shift huddles
• Scrubs: Navy/White
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, MOAB, CPI
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Required skills: IV start, triage, telemetry, arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Charting system experience required
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation and DNR
