Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult acute care patients including those with elective back surgeries, trauma, prostate cancer, gallbladder conditions, and cellulitis
• Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Epic charting experience required - hard stop requirement, candidates without Epic experience will not be accepted
• Required certification: BLS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Proficiency in Med/Surg care with experience using Rapid Response/Code teams required
• Skills required: peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration and tanks, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Charge experience preferred
• May be required to work as charge nurse and to precept
• Float within skillset required
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• First-time travelers accepted
• Self-scheduling unit
