RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: Days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM with 30-minute lunch break
• Every-other-weekend requirement (Nights: Friday/Saturday/Sunday, Days: Saturday/Sunday)
• Travel experience required
• EPIC experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Must submit unexpired copy of driver's license with application
• Work on 1E - Med Surg/Infectious Disease unit with 18 private rooms
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 typically, 1:4 if COVID patients present
• Care for patients with infectious diseases including isolation, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff
• Strong knowledge required in Med Surg, infectious diseases, and isolation precautions
• Manage Heparin and other typical Med Surg IV medications and antibiotics
• No cardiac drips or ventilator management required
• Remote telemetry monitoring from 3rd floor, RNs do not read or interpret strips
• Royal blue scrubs required, scrub jackets must also be royal blue if worn
• Floating required to any Med Surg units as first priority
• 2-day orientation: 1 day EPIC training, 1 day floor orientation with preceptor
• Holiday work may be required based on unit needs
• Acute care setting with potential for low census call-offs
