Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• May float to Summit location ED only, approximately 3 miles away
• Care for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• Provide holistic and individualized care including assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Deliver direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care in an acute setting
• Foster collaborative relationships between patients, family/support groups, physicians, and other healthcare providers
• Perform and manage procedures including IV insertion and maintenance, arterial line management, central line care, chest tube management, procedural sedation, and 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Manage patients with conditions including cardiac dysrhythmias, CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, drug overdose, psychiatric holds, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Facility serves as a 5150 receiving facility
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Valid California RN license required
• Certifications must be AHA or ARC
