Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• 2+ years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Block scheduling - unit cannot guarantee schedule requests but will work with travelers as best as possible
• Charting experience required using Cerner EMR
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Patients served include adults and geriatric populations
• Skills required include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management and care, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care and management, heparin and insulin administration, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), telemetry monitoring, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, PCA management, peripheral and PICC line care, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, tracheostomy care, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy
