ED RN Float Pool Job in Kealakekua, HI

Kona Community Hospital is seeking an RN for a critical care float pool position in the Emergency Department. This role requires both ER and ICU experience and offers the opportunity to work across multiple acute-care settings.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care for Emergency Department and ICU patients
• Float to other nursing units as needed to support patient care operations, assisting but not serving as primary nurse
• Participate in rapid response and code blue teams as activated
• Monitor telemetry, expedite on other floors, assist with patient transport, and provide patient-sitting support as needed

Schedule & Duration

• Rotating 12-hour shifts during evening and night hours
• 72–80 hours guaranteed per two-week pay period
• 91-day assignment beginning October 5, 2026

Compensation

• $2,875 weekly pay

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Demonstrated experience in both Emergency Department and ICU settings (required to be considered)
• Ability to work rotating evening and night shifts
• Willingness to float between units and support multiple care areas
