Job Details:

• Night shift position with every other weekend and every other holiday schedule
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6 in general emergency department; 1:6 in behavioral health locked units
• Minimum 3 years of emergency room nursing experience required
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG, CEN
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Charting system: Cerner
• Community hospital experience required
• Must be proficient with arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, phlebotomy, and starting and maintaining IVs
• Must be comfortable caring for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Emergency department handles approximately 120 visits per day across 54 beds
• Facility operates as a Primary Stroke Center (Gold Plus with AHA) with annual stroke CEU requirements
• STEMI cases requiring cath intervention will be transferred to appropriate facility
• Two locked behavioral health units within the ED supported by ED staffing and security team
• Two rapid evaluation units for urgent care and critical care needs with rapid medical screenings
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
• Candidates will float within the hospital within scope
• References required at time of submission
