Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a Medical-Surgical unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO. This is a 13-week travel assignment with 3x12 night shifts running from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. You will earn $1,971 weekly.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to surgical patients including those with GI, GU, Plastics, and Overflow Ortho diagnoses
• Manage patient ratios of approximately 1:6–7 on night shift (ratios not guaranteed)
• Perform nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and outcomes
• May be floated to other units based on staffing needs

Schedule and Requirements:

• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours weekly (specify at submission)

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg inpatient nursing experience
• Current RN license valid in Missouri
• BLS certification from AHA (required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS from AHA
• TNCC

Equipment and Systems:

• Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo enteral feeding pumps, wound vacs, SCD machines, PCA pumps, low air loss mattresses, and remote telemetry monitors
• EPIC electronic medical record system
• Black Mercy M Wear scrubs required
