ICU Registered Nurse Job in Carlsbad, NM

Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit. This is a night shift position working 3 shifts of 12 hours each, from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

Assignment Details

• Weekly pay: $2,138.40
• No on-call required

Role Responsibilities

You will provide ICU total patient care in a 12-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:2–3. Primary responsibilities include ventilator management, administration of titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene care. Floating to the Emergency Room and Med-Surg departments is required. In the ER, you will answer call lights, pass medications, transport patients, start IVs, and draw blood. In Med-Surg, you may manage a full patient assignment of up to 6 patients or serve as an aide for up to 12 patients.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• 2+ years of ICU experience
• Emergency Room and Med-Surg experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC preferred
• Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene
