ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Night shift position with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Float pool position rotating to various ICU and intermediate care units including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1), Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU, Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit, Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit, Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit, Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit, and ED Boarders
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Patient ratios: 1.5 on days and weekends, 2 on nights
• Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; TNCC and CCRN preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Virginia nursing license required (pending licenses accepted)
• BSN preferred
• Required skills include care of ventilated patients and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; preferred skills include continuous IV sedation, ICP monitoring, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, and Level 1 Trauma experience
• Must adhere to float policy and float within scope of practice as needed
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and more
• Maximum 40 hours of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO approved during first 2 weeks of assignment
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
