RN - PCU Observation

Job Details:

• Varied work schedule
• Must be willing to float between Boswell and Del Webb campuses as needed, with Boswell as primary campus
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and maintain individualized plans of care including discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Implement care plans through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of health care team activities
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in patient records
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor other staff, patients, students, and families as appropriate
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
