Med Surg RN Job in Lafayette, IN

You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM) on a Medical-Surgical unit at Franciscan Health Lafayette. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting October 5, 2026, with 36 guaranteed hours weekly and no call requirements.

Role & Patient Care

• Float between three Med-Surg units with 27–30 beds each
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
• Care for ortho and general surgery, back surgery, GI, renal, oncology, and general medical patients
• Work every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday included)

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Previous travel Med-Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the last year (you may test out of additional Epic training if your experience is current)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required

Preferred Skills

• General and ortho post-op care experience
• Heparin drip management
• Blood administration

Equipment & Tools

You'll work with Alaris pumps, Kangaroo pumps, vein light, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Vocera communication devices.

Facility Guidelines

• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Non-Franciscan sweatshirts or jackets not permitted
• Facial piercings not permitted

Compensation
