Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit located on the 7th floor of the Main Tower
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Day and night shifts available with both RN and LPN staff
• Float to other Med Surg Tele units based on staffing and patient care needs
• Scrub color: Royal blue
• Required certifications: BLS and ALS
• Current LVN license required
• Medical-surgical experience required
• Must have ability to care for telemetry patients
• Strong physical assessment and critical thinking skills required
• Ability to manage care for patients with multiple co-morbidities required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Prior ortho-neuro-trauma experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Perform wound care and dressing changes, wound vac management, blood administration, PCA and epidural management, and chest tube management
• Operate telemetry equipment, IV infusion pumps, bladder scanner, EKG, enteral feeding pumps, BiPap, vapotherms, wound vacs, PCA pumps, trapeze, vein finder, and dopplers
• Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills required
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate compassion, dependability, and ability to prioritize patient care
