ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Night shift schedule with every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday nights), plus at least 2 Sundays and 2 Mondays per schedule
• No block scheduling
• 13-week contract duration
• 36-hour orientation (Tuesday start)
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Cerner charting system experience required - no exceptions
• Travel experience required (will review candidates with at least 2 years of experience)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• Missouri RN license or compact license required
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Must pass EKG exam on orientation day with a score of 80% or higher; will be tested on lethal rhythms
• CEUs required: 4 stroke, 8 trauma, and 4 cardiac CEUs must be completed as soon as possible
• Required certifications (must be current, no pending): ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (AHA); CPI required starting January 2026
• Experience with a wide range of emergency conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric cases
• Skills required include IV management, blood product administration, arterial line management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, 12-lead EKG/ECG, procedural sedation, triage, and more
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• 42-bed emergency department
• Community hospital experience preferred; Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
