ED RN Job in Independence, MO

Join Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO as a Registered Nurse in our 40+ bed Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 28, 2026, offering you the opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute care setting with 48 guaranteed hours weekly.

Shift & Compensation

• Schedule: 4x12 nights (2 PM–2 AM)
• Weekly pay: $2,360
• Guaranteed hours available

Your Role

You will care for patients across a dynamic emergency environment, managing a 4:1 patient ratio with rotating assignments: 3 rooms and 1 hall bed during high-volume periods. Day and night shifts are available, giving you flexibility as the assignment progresses.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform IV starts and phlebotomy
• Cardiac monitoring and interpretation
• Operate and maintain multiple monitoring systems and diagnostic equipment
• Use Meditech EMR for documentation and care coordination

Equipment & Technology

You will work with cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, Lifepak defibrillators, and additional emergency equipment as needed.

Required Credentials & Experience

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications
• Previous high-pressure and medical experience preferred
• Strong adaptability and teamwork skills essential
• Ability to remain composed and positive under pressure

Dress Code

Gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms. Appropriately colored T-shirts are permitted under a nursing scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket.
