Emergency Department RN Job in Independence, Missouri

You will work as an RN in a 40+ bed Emergency Department at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. This is a night shift role (7 PM–7 AM), scheduled as 4 shifts of 12 hours each week. The assignment runs for 91 days, starting October 19, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,803.20 and a guaranteed 48 hours per week option.

Your responsibilities include:

• Providing direct patient care with a typical 4:1 patient ratio (3 rooms and 1 hall bed during high-volume periods)
• Performing IV starts, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring with rhythm interpretation
• Operating and maintaining cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, and Lifepak equipment
• Documenting care using the Meditech EMR system

Your night shift team includes a Charge Nurse Coordinator, Team Leads, other RNs, Advanced Paramedics, Emergency Department Techs, Mental Health Service Coordinators, and a Secretary.

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI.

Dress code: Gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms. Appropriately colored T-shirts may be worn under a nursing scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket.

You should bring strong adaptability, team player qualities, and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. Previous medical experience is preferred. This role offers the opportunity to develop and apply your emergency nursing skills in a structured, well-staffed department.
