Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts with multiple shift time options: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, 10:45 AM to 11:15 PM, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Block scheduling available for nights; cannot guarantee 6 on 8 off schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Rotational holiday schedule with core staff
• No on-call or standby requirement
• No floating requirements
• Level P4 Trauma Center with STEMI and stroke receiving capabilities
• 28-bed emergency department with 2 designated trauma/code rooms
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Average daily patient volume of 70-75 patients
• Manage cardiac dysrhythmias, critical drips, BiPap, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation
• Administer and manage all critical care drips including TPA, sedation, and paralytics
• Perform radial ABG draws
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently (no monitor tech on unit)
• Treat patients across all age groups including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, COPD, trauma, overdose, and medical and surgical conditions
• Charting system: EPIC
• Prior travel experience required
• Scrub color: Navy for RNs; scrubs must be solid color with no embroidery or patterns
• WVU Medicine or solid color fleece zip-ups permitted in grey, black, navy, or royal blue
• Solid undershirts permitted in white, grey, or black matching the scrub top color
• Closed-toe shoes required; no Crocs permitted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS; TNCC preferred but not required
• BSN not required
• West Virginia nursing license required
