PCU Registered Nurse Job in Fort Myers, FL

Health Park Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a 7-week travel assignment beginning January 8, 2027, offering a 36-hour work week on a 3x12 night shift schedule.

About the Role

You will work in an 18-bed PCU with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, functioning as core staff within the unit. This step-down environment provides hands-on experience with progressive care protocols using the Epic EMR system. You are expected to contribute fully to unit operations and patient care delivery.

Assignment Details

• Location: Fort Myers, FL
• Duration: 92 days (7 weeks)
• Schedule: 3x12 nights, 36 hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,139.19
• Facility type: Step-Down PCU (SPCU)

Requirements

• Current RN license: Florida or Compact nursing license required with recent Nursys verification on profile
• Minimum 3 years of PCU experience
• Minimum 2 previous travel nursing assignments
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Degree accreditation on profile OR 5+ years of PCU experience

Important Information

Floating is required. Travel nurses are first to float and may be assigned to sister campuses. All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; no requests to modify time off will be approved after submission. You will be expected to function as an integral member of the core staff and contribute to unit continuity and patient care standards.
