Emergency Room RN Job in Tallahassee, FL

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the Emergency Department. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, providing direct patient care in a 39-bed ED with a 1:4 patient ratio.

What You'll Do

• Deliver bedside nursing care during overnight emergency operations
• Perform 30-minute to 1-hour patient rounding and shift report activities
• Assist in intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures
• Perform procedures including chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, laceration repair, and blood product administration
• Operate crash carts, Level One infusers, Alaris pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors
• Document patient care using the MediTech system
• Work collaboratively with one unit secretary and 2–3 support techs per shift

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Multi-tasking ability and throughput focus
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• 48 guaranteed hours approved for travel
• Four-week schedule posted 2 weeks prior to start
• Weekly pay: $1,933
• Black scrubs required
• Floating to ER hold unit during peak capacity (rare in summer months)
