Med Surg RN Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered nurse for a travel assignment at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. This is a 12-hour shift position in Medical-Surgical nursing with a contract duration of 117 days, starting September 14, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide competent patient care based on established nursing standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager
• Work rotating day, evening, and night shift schedules with every other weekend required
• Manage holiday, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities as needed by the unit
• May assume expanded role responsibilities including charge nurse duties, preceptor responsibilities, and committee participation
• Float across multiple Med Surg units as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Current New York RN license (New York licenses only accepted)
• Minimum two years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Assignment Details

This position offers 12-hour shifts with rotating days, evenings, and nights. No straight shift schedules are available. You will work every other weekend as required by the unit. Weekly compensation is $2,368.08.

This is a Level 2 Med Surg assignment in a hospital setting. You will work alongside experienced nursing staff and have the opportunity to take on charge nurse and preceptor responsibilities based on unit needs.
