Job Details:

• Work in a 10-bed ICU unit located on the 1st floor of Tower 2
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 staff nurses, and 1 unit assistant
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 5 staff nurses
• EMR system: Meditech
• Work with equipment including External Ventricular Draining Device (EVD) and CRRT
• Minimum 3 years of critical care experience required (excluding travel assignments)
• Required skills: EVD management and monitoring, hypothermia management, ventilator management, and vasoactive drugs
• NIH Stroke Scale completion required
• Experience with immediate post open heart care, hemodynamics, and ABG interpretation required
• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience required
• Typical procedures include line placement and intubation
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills under pressure required
• Scrub color is variable; no visible piercings and tattoos must be covered
• RNs may float to CCU and PCU; travelers will float first
• Strong team player with willingness to teach highly valued
