ED Registered Nurse Job in Wichita Falls, TX

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at United Regional, a 62-room Level II Trauma Center in Wichita Falls, TX. This is a 3x12 day shift position on a 36/48 hour alternating block schedule with 84 hours biweekly guaranteed. Weekend coverage is required.

About the Role

You will support both the Emergency Department and the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), which operates under ED provider supervision and manages stable, independent patients. The ED maintains a daily census of 190 and serves patients from neonates through all age groups. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the ED and up to 5:1 in the CDU.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of emergency nursing experience (preference for 3 years; 2 years accepted if from high-volume or trauma facility)
• Current travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Epic charting system proficiency required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred

Clinical Competencies

You must demonstrate competency in arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, IV vasopressors, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, management of multisystem organ dysfunction, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, triage, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, and starting and maintaining IVs.

Compensation & Assignment Details

Weekly pay is $2,217. The assignment duration is 91 days, with a start date of November 16, 2026.
