NICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a registered nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This is a 3x12 night shift position on an 89-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026.

About the Role

You will provide comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting. Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for NICU patients
• Delivering age-appropriate care that addresses the physical and developmental needs of assigned neonates
• Completing thorough patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural factors
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Delegating appropriately and providing supervision to other healthcare personnel
• Documenting all nursing interventions and patient responses in accordance with facility policy
• Participating in education, orientation, and mentoring of facility staff

Requirements

• Current RN license in Arizona or a compact state
• BLS certification
• Recent Level III or Level IV NICU experience
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
• Willingness to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as determined by department needs

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification

Compensation and Details

You will earn $2,559 per week. This is a travel assignment, and you will work night shifts (3x12) throughout your 89-day contract period.
