About this role

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at BUMC Phoenix, located at 1111 E McDowell Rd. This is a four 10-hour day shift position with on-call requirements. The assignment runs for 89 weeks, starting August 17, 2026. You will earn $2,718 per week.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
  • Review patient history and physical examination with patients and families, ensuring timely completion
  • Review diagnostic and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and care team members
  • Formulate individualized plans of care, including discharge planning, using assessment data and input from patients, families, and the health team
  • Implement plans of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of health care team activities
  • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan as needed
  • Document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
  • Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in quality improvement and shared leadership initiatives

Physical requirements: You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You will need to lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Standard precautions are required due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Qualifications: You must hold a current, valid RN license and current BLS certification. A minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting is required, with experience in the cardiac catheterization specialty within the past 12 months. A Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred.
